How Tokenization Can Solve the Most Pressing Problems in Real Estate – Digital Issuance With Realio

Nearly the entirety of global commerce involves real estate in one way or another. Besides creating spaces for people to live in, real estate developers provide production facilities and office spaces for companies and traders, thus being involved in the distribution of almost all goods and services. It is, therefore, no wonder that an estimated three-quarter of the global wealth is locked up in real estate assets. The use of the word “locked” in this context is deliberate, as it describes what is possibly the single biggest problem in real estate right now. Let us elaborate on this in more detail. More Liquidity to the Real Estate Markets Due to their very nature, immovables are highly illiquid assets. Real estate developers are typically committed to their investment for multiple years, or even decades. Getting rid of assets – for whatever […]

Crypto Derivatives Volumes Crash 36% to $393 Billion in June, a Low for 2020

Crypto derivatives trading volumes plunged 36% to $393 billion in June, the lowest they have reached in 2020, according to a new report by Cryptocompare. The decline may be the result of a lull in investor interest in the instruments during the month in review. In May, derivatives – contracts signed by at least two people to buy or sell a digital asset at an agreed price in the future – soared to a record high $602 billion, possibly driven by the hype that accompanied Bitcoin’s third halving in that month. Total spot volumes fell fastest, however, sliding 49% to $643 billion in June from $1.27 trillion the previous month, said the London-based data analytics firm. The bulk of spot trading happened on exchanges considered by Cryptocompare as low-tier and unregulated, accounting for $466 billion of the volume while top-tier […]

Developer Reveals Layer-Two Private Messaging and Payment System on Bitcoin Cash

On July 4, 2020, the Bitcoin Cash proponent Cain published an interview with the blockchain developer, Shammah Chancellor, about a new project called Stamp Chat. At its basic level, “Stamp is a prototype of a layer-2 private messaging and payment system on Bitcoin Cash. It implements stealth [plus] confidential transactions on top of Bitcoin Cash using layer-2 protocol technologies.” This week Bitcoin Cash supporters were introduced to a new tool called Stamp, an encrypted message and payment system that leverages the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) chain. The project is being developed by the software programmer Shammah Chancellor, otherwise known as @micropresident. The project was introduced on Saturday, July 4, 2020, by the Bitcoin Cash proponent Cain (@bchcain) via the read.cash blog. Bitcoin Dominance Took a Big Hit, But Don’t Count on an Altcoin Rally

Altcoins have actually done rather well against Bitcoin since the start of 2020. This comes in spite of the BTC-centric rhetoric seen on social media. Yet prominent market participants are not convinced that an “altcoin season” — when cryptocurrencies gain strongly against Bitcoin — will transpire. Some commentators, in fact, are expecting an altcoin “extinction event.” Bitcoin Dominance Prints Crucial Bear Sign The past few weeks have seen a number of altcoins rip higher. Take the example of Vechain (VET), which was up 50% on Sunday. Or take the example of one of DeFi’s poster children, Compound (COMP), which has gained 500% since its June launch. At one point, the altcoin was up over 1,000% from its launch price. Altcoins outperforming Bitcoin has allowed the BTC dominance metric — the percentage of cryptocurrencies made of up of BTC — fall […]

European Blockchain Ecosystem Needs €350 Million for the Next 18 Months

A study report by Leadblock Partners, an appointed representative of Sapia Partners LLP, finds an accelerating growth of the European blockchain ecosystem. The findings of the Leadblock Partners study suggest European respondents have a funding need for €350 million for the next 18 months. The European Enterprise Blockchain start-up ecosystem is mainly composed of early-stage start-ups at the pre-seed to series A-stages. About 60% of surveyed start-ups are now generating revenues, and of which 33% are generating €250k of recurring revenues. The study notes that improving performance is due to the technology recently reaching sufficient maturity. The transitioning from proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and pilot projects to production mode is cited as another factor. Nevertheless, Leadblock says the United States still leads. The country has $2 billion worth of assets under management (AUM) compared to Europe’s $100 million. In the report, Leadblock […]

Bitcoin Could Explode Towards $10,500 if It Holds One Crucial Level

Bitcoin has been holding above its crucial support for the past few weeks, despite being subjected to heavy selling pressure This is a positive sign that seems to suggest further upside could be imminent There are some technical signs also supporting the notion that the crypto will continue pushing higher in the near-term One analyst is noting that BTC could rally past $10,500 if it continues holding above $8,800 This level closely coincides with the crypto’s SMA50 – which is a crucial level bulls have been defending Bitcoin and the aggregated cryptocurrency market are flashing mixed signs to investors. After declining into the $8,000 region yesterday, buyers stepped up and catalyzed an influx of buying pressure that helped send BTC back into its multi-month trading range. The break back above $9,000 has since sparked a slight uptrend that has led […]

Bitcoin Volatility Hits Three-Year Low, Sparking Fears of Massive Sell-Off

The cryptocurrency data analytics and research company, Skew has warned that bitcoin could see a massive sell-off due to declining volatility. The data analytics firm says that bitcoin (BTC) realized volatility hit 20% over the past 10 days – it’s the lowest 10-day reading in nearly three years. “Last time we reached that level, we had the great sell-off of November 2018 shortly after,” Skew cautioned on Monday. Back then, the price of BTC crashed by almost 50% from $6,500 in November to around $3,200 in early December. It was the lowest bitcoin had traded since its all-time-high of $20,000 in December 2017. Realized volatility measures a change in prices in the past. Generally, the higher the volatility, the higher the risk, which also means the greater the earnings. The opposite is true for low volatility. London-based Skew said bitcoin’s […]

Can Millennials Help BTC to Reach New Heights?

According to some analysts, bitcoin is stuck in a dark place, but millennials can potentially pull the world’s number one cryptocurrency by market cap out of its present funk and help it reach new heights. Millennials Are the Answers to BTC’s Present Problems As it stands, many crypto experts and analysts see millennials as the answer to many of bitcoin’s problems. One of the biggest issues for BTC at the time of writing is that it is widely considered to lack legitimacy when compared with USD, gold, and stock shares. The currency is not mainstream enough due to the amount of theft and fraud that has occurred within its industry’s walls, and people don’t trust it enough to begin using it. Millennials, however, see things in a different light. It’s stocks and fiat currencies that they don’t trust. Many millennials […]

Ethereum “Builds the Bases” for a Parabolic Move; Here’s What Could Stop It

A New Price Valuation Model Says $10,670 Fair Value For Bitcoin

Seba, a Switzerland based bank, is proposing a Bitcoin valuation model that places its fair value at $10,670. At this price, the model suggests Bitcoin is trading at a significant discount, at just above $9,100. In a blog posting this past Thursday, Seba says the model’s estimate relies on the same concepts as other valuation models. It draws comparisons with the FX space. “In the FX space, for instance, Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) and Uncovered Interest Rate Parity (UIP), two models based on sound concepts, provide estimates challenged by empirical evidence,” the blog post points out. Yet, in spite of lacking empirical support, such currency valuation models “shape and form the basis of investors’” understanding of the FX market. Furthermore, the models help explain where currency “value originates in a fiat money world” where none of the currencies have “intrinsic […]

What Impending Doom? Analyst Asks as Bitcoin’s Chart Remains Bullish

Many analysts over recent weeks have claimed that Bitcoin is on the verge of plunging off a cliff. This is for good reason: there are technical signs indicating that BTC will soon be subject to a steep retracement. First and foremost, BTC was rejected at the ever-important $10,500 resistance. That level marked the highs of rallies in October of 2019 and marked the 2020 highs in February. The fact that Bitcoin failed to pass it for the third consecutive time shows weakness. And secondly, volume trends seemingly skew in favor of bears. Referencing the chart below, one crypto market commentator said: “A couple more clues developing that lend themselves to HTF distribution. 1. Rising Demand on the verge of failing. 2. Side by side, ascent vs descent with selling the dominant pressure from volume.” BTC distribution analysis shared by trader […]

This Historically Accurate Bitcoin Bullish Indicator Flashes Again

A bullish Bitcoin indicator with no false price predictions on record flashed for the first time in fourteen months. The so-called “Golden Cross,” in its last occurrences, sent BTC/USD exchange rate higher by 67-6,458 percent. Its revival in July 2020 points to another upside rally for the pair – even though the market’s fundamentals differ. A technical indicator that once championed Bitcoin to its all-time high price point of $20,000 has returned. Dubbed as the “Golden Cross,” the upside pattern forms when an asset’s short-term moving average closes above its long-term moving average. Late last week, Bitcoin printed the so-called bullish crossover after its 20-week moving average (exponential) broke above its 50-day moving average (simple). Historically, the 20-50 Golden Cross has turned Bitcoin’s meager sideways price moves into full-fledged rallies. Going back to 2011, chart watchers can witness the technical […]

Stellar Lumen Price Analysis (XLM to USD) After a sharp downside spike, stellar lumen price recovered steadily above the $0.0600 level against the US Dollar. Bitcoin’s 150% Rally From $3,700 May Fade as Wall Street Eyes Weak Earnings

Bitcoin has added about $73 billion to its market capitalization since its March 13 low. But BTC’s chances at ballooning further into the second half of 2020 look meager. One of the primary reasons for this sentiment is Bitcoin’s positive correlation with the S&P 500. The benchmark US index has surged by ~43 percent from its March low but risks correcting lower ahead of a weaker corporate earnings season. Bitcoin has added about $73 billion to its market capitalization in the last three months. Nevertheless, the leading cryptocurrency has reached a point where it does not have a clue about what to do next. The analogy appears out of Bitcoin’s boring sideways action over the past two weeks. The BTC/USD exchange rate stands stuck between a range defined by $9,500 and $9,000. Traders appear in a bias-conflict as the bitcoin […]
